SARAH   S.  KILBORNE 

Sarah has worked as a solo performer, as leader of her band Kilborne & Co. (with Rob Caldwell and Trevor DePew), and as part of the duo Missy Mister (with Ryder Cooley). With her modern cabaret style, Sarah frequently draws comparisons to Lotte Lenya and the work of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill. She sings in three languages (English, French and German) and performs a variety of music from the 19th century to today. From 2012-2013, she also performed in Elaine Colandrea's dance installation, "On the Nature of the Body," based on Botticelli's Primavera. 

 

Sarah is currently performing her solo show, "The Lavender Blues," a showcase of queer music before World War II. Axel Belohoubek accompanies her on piano.
